Case study: Shipowners

West Park were invited to tender for the Partitions, Glazing, Doors, Echophon acoustic baffles, Hunter Douglas timber fins and MF ceilings on this prestigious project in the heart of the Whitechapel building in Aldgate for Area Squared. Design and finish were the key factors important to the client. West Park worked with the Area Squared project management team and designers to achieve the high specification finish to the glazed partitions and ceilings. Banded glazing is the height of fashion in the commercial fit out market and this project showcases one of the best systems on the market.
The Acoustics between meeting rooms and corridors was of paramount importance. With banded double glazing to the fronts of all the offices achieving 43dB and the cross walls achieving 48dB. The quality of the install left the client feeling very proud of their new office space. The open plan area had a large concentration of existing chilled beams which meant the installation of full height partitions was difficult in some places and impossible in others. West Park worked with the design team to create a free standing pod system that gave the client the enclosed areas they needed without compromising on space.
